In late spring April, clouds and mist gradually rise over Fenghuang Mountain in Chaozhou, with greenery spreading across the slopes, marking the annual golden tea-picking season for Fenghuang Dan Cong tea. On this land that has nurtured a thousand years of tea fragrance, in Banyun Tea Industry's gardens, tea buds unfurl, fresh and glistening. Tea pickers weave between the rows, their fingertips gently plucking the vitality of spring and nature's gifts, writing this year's story of the first spring Dan Cong tea harvest.

Chaozhou Banyun Tea Industry has been deeply rooted in the Fenghuang Dan Cong tea sector for over twenty years. From its initial cooperative to today's modern tea enterprise that integrates tea cultivation, production, trade, scientific research, and tea culture promotion, Banyun Tea has remained firmly established in the core production area of Fenghuang Mountain. With "Fenghuang Mountain Outside the Mountain" as its brand, it upholds the core philosophy of "Natural mountains produce exceptional people," focusing solely on producing high-quality Fenghuang Dan Cong tea.
"Spring tea is as valuable as gold," and for Fenghuang Dan Cong tea, spring is the finest harvesting season of the year. After an entire winter of dormancy and nutrient accumulation, the tea trees now bear plump buds and leaves rich in compounds. The amino acid content and aromatic substances far exceed those of other seasons, resulting in tea liquor with optimal freshness, sweetness, and layered fragrances.

Banyun Tea's gardens are situated in the premium ecological zone of Fenghuang Mountain, where the altitude is ideal, mists envelop the landscape, the soil is fertile, and there are significant day-night temperature differences, providing exceptional natural conditions for tea growth. We consistently follow natural principles and strictly control the harvesting time — only picking between 1-4 pm on sunny afternoons when the fresh leaves have optimal moisture and initial fragrance. We adhere to the standard of "one bud with two to three leaves," avoiding leaves that are too young or too old, ensuring each fresh leaf is at peak maturity. Hand-picking and gentle handling prevent damage to fresh leaves, preserving the tea's vitality and authenticity to the highest degree.
Good mountains produce good tea, but it takes craftsmanship to make excellent tea. From fresh leaves to finished tea, Banyun Tea follows traditional intangible cultural heritage techniques combined with modern scientific management, going through multiple processes including picking, sun-drying, cooling, oxidation, fixing, kneading, and baking, with each step pursued to perfection.

During oxidation, we control the fermentation degree precisely, allowing the tea to slowly release its natural floral aroma and develop the unique quality of "green leaves with red edges." In the baking process, we employ a slow, low-temperature roasting technique to remove astringency, enhance aroma, and lock in sweetness, making the mountain and honey notes of Dan Cong tea more mellow. For years, Banyun Tea has prioritised quality, successively obtaining SC production certification and organic Dan Cong tea cultivation and processing certification. Our products have been recognised as Chinese Geographical Indication Protected Products and rated as "Highly Popular Geographical Indication Products." Each honour acknowledges our commitment to quality, ensuring that every tea enthusiast can drink with confidence and enjoy with peace of mind.
"Organic, premium, and high-guarantee" remains Banyun Tea's unwavering product pursuit. In cultivation, we adhere to ecological management, minimising human intervention, avoiding pesticides and chemical fertilisers, protecting the natural ecological balance of tea gardens, and allowing tea trees to grow freely in their natural environment. In production, we have established a comprehensive quality control system, traceable from garden to cup, ensuring that every tea leaf meets high-quality standards.
Through more than twenty years of journey through rain and wind, Banyun Tea has grown from a mountain tea society to a modern tea enterprise. What remains unchanged is our love and dedication to Fenghuang Dan Cong tea and our practice of the "Natural mountains produce exceptional people" corporate culture. We only wish to uphold our original intention with craftsmanship, bringing the good mountains, good water, and good tea of Fenghuang Mountain to all who understand and love tea.
At this moment, Banyun Tea's 2026 first spring Fenghuang Dan Cong tea is being enthusiastically harvested and produced. The richness of Honey Orchid aroma, the high sharpness of Duck Shit aroma... various classic fragrance types are successively being created, carrying the freshness of spring and the mountain charm of Fenghuang Mountain, waiting to meet tea enthusiasts.

The spring mountains send their message, and tea fragrance keeps its promise. We welcome all tea friends to visit Banyun Tea, to enjoy the spring scenery of tea mountains together and taste the first spring Dan Cong tea.
