In late spring April, clouds and mist begin to rise over Phoenix Mountain in Chaozhou, with greenery covering the hills. It's once again the golden tea-picking season for Phoenix Dancong tea. On this land that has nurtured a millennium of tea fragrance, in Ban Yun Tea's gardens, tea buds are unfurling, fresh and glistening. Tea pickers move between the rows, gently pinching with their fingertips, harvesting the vitality of spring and nature's gifts, writing the story of this year's first spring Dancong tea harvest.

Chaozhou Ban Yun Tea has been deeply involved in the Phoenix Dancong tea industry for over two decades. From its initial cooperative to today's modern tea enterprise integrating tea planting, production, trade, research, and tea culture promotion, Ban Yun Tea has always been rooted in the core area of Phoenix Mountain. With "Phoenix Mountain Outside the Mountain" as its brand, it adheres to the core philosophy of "Natural Mountain, Natural People," focusing solely on producing high-quality Phoenix Dancong tea.
"Spring tea is as precious as gold." For Phoenix Dancong tea, spring is the finest harvesting season of the year. After an entire winter of dormancy and nutrient accumulation, the tea trees now have plump buds and leaves rich in internal compounds. The amino acid content and aromatic substances far exceed those of other seasons, resulting in optimal freshness, sweetness, and layered fragrance in the tea.

Ban Yun Tea's gardens are situated in the premium ecological zone of Phoenix Mountain, with suitable altitude, swirling mists, fertile soil, and significant temperature variations between day and night, providing ideal natural conditions for tea growth. We consistently follow natural principles and strictly control harvesting times - choosing only to pick between 1-4 pm on sunny afternoons, when the fresh leaves have optimal moisture content and the aroma begins to emerge. We adhere to the standard of "one bud with two to three leaves," avoiding leaves that are too young or too old to ensure each fresh leaf is at peak maturity. Gentle hand-picking and handling prevent damage to the fresh leaves, preserving the tea's vitality and authenticity to the highest degree.
Good mountains produce good tea, but it takes craftsmanship to make excellent tea. From fresh leaves to finished tea, Ban Yun Tea follows traditional intangible cultural heritage techniques combined with modern scientific management, going through multiple processes including picking, sun-drying, cooling, oxidation, fixation, rolling, and baking, with excellence pursued at every step.

During oxidation, we carefully control the fermentation degree, allowing the tea leaves to slowly release their natural floral fragrance, forming the unique quality of "green leaves with red edges." In the baking process, we use low-temperature slow-baking techniques to remove astringency, enhance aroma, and lock in sweetness, making the mountain charm and honey notes of Dancong tea more mellow. For years, Ban Yun Tea has always prioritised quality, obtaining SC production certification, organic Dancong tea planting and processing certification, with products recognised as China Geographical Indication Protected Products, and rated as "highly popular geographical indication products." Each honour is recognition of our commitment to quality, ensuring every tea enthusiast can drink with confidence and enjoy with peace of mind.
"Green, organic, premium, and high assurance" remains Ban Yun Tea's unchanging product pursuit. In cultivation, we insist on ecological management, reducing human intervention and avoiding pesticides and chemical fertilisers, protecting the natural ecological balance of the tea garden and allowing tea trees to grow freely in their natural environment. In production, we have established a comprehensive quality control system that can trace every step from garden to cup, ensuring every tea leaf meets high-quality standards.
After more than two decades of weathering storms, Ban Yun Tea has grown from a mountain tea society to a modern tea enterprise. What remains unchanged is our love and dedication to Phoenix Dancong tea and our practice of the "Natural Mountain, Natural People" corporate culture. We aim to keep our original intention with craftsmanship, bringing the good mountains, water, and tea of Phoenix Mountain to all who understand and appreciate tea.
At this moment, Ban Yun Tea's 2026 first spring Phoenix Dancong tea is being enthusiastically harvested and produced. The richness of Honey Orchid aroma, the sharpness of Duck Droppings aroma... various classic fragrances are being released, carrying the freshness of spring and the mountain charm of Phoenix Mountain, waiting to meet tea enthusiasts.

Spring mountains bring messages, tea fragrance makes appointments. We welcome all tea friends to visit Ban Yun Tea, to appreciate the spring scenery of the tea mountains and taste the first spring Dancong.
